Virginia and Gerard attend many continuing education seminars throughout the year that help them stay up to date on all the new technology. They are trained by the manufacturers on all new technology entering the marketplace as this is a fast moving and evolving technological field. They have also attended International Seminars in Rio de Janero, Brazil, and Copenhagen, Denmark, where they exchanged many ideas with the best research and design engineers in the field today.
Virginia has extensive experience in hearing care, and has been a Connecticut State Licensed Hearing Aid Dispenser since 1982. She has helped thousands of people with hearing loss over the course of 35 years.
Prior to helping people with hearing issues, Virginia was trained and worked at Hartford Hospital and Middlesex Hospital in Middletown, Connecticut, as a Surgical Technician, where she assisted the surgical team performing all types of operations from general surgery, vascular, neuro, orthopedic, OB-GYN, ophthalmic, and ENT procedures. Although working in surgery was very exciting work, Virginia found something was lacking. There was very little or no human interaction with the patients. They were all anesthetized and then wheeled into the Recovery Room. Only the surgeons and anesthesiologists do the follow up, so there was no way to gauge the results of your work.
Virginia explored the hearing aid field back in the early 1980's, studied, passed the State Licensing Exam, and then became a State of Connecticut Licensed Hearing Instrument Dispenser. She then worked, trained, and managed multiple offices throughout the State of Connecticut.
In 1985, the opportunity arose for Virginia, and her husband Gerard, to purchase an existing Hearing Instrument Practice. That is when All Ears Hearing Aid Service Inc. was established. They now have two offices in central Connecticut, and have helped thousands of people hear from all over the world. One of the reasons this field has held Virginia’s interest for so long, is the feeling she gets when she helps someone get back something as precious as the sense of hearing. She says it is very exciting and rewarding to know you have improved the quality of someone's life.
In her spare time, Virginia is a member of the Connecticut Hearing Aid Dispensers Organization on the Advisory Board. She also helps out with the teen youth group at St. Mary's in Portland, is a vocalist in the Teen Music Ministry, and is on the Board of Directors and the Finance Board for St. John Paul II in Middletown, Connecticut. Virginia and Gerard have two wonderful sons, Spencer and Dylan, and were awarded the "Family of the Year" in 2015 for the State of Connecticut by the Knights of Columbus. Their mission in life is to help those in need.
